Folks,
gotta tell you about this one 'cause I can't believe it myself.
Took der Suzi out for a ride last weekend and since I always wanted to test how fast she
really goes I took her onto the Autobahn. Well, we reached the limit
of 140 km/h (about 85 I guess) easily and even though I felt that there still was
room to go I backed off 'cause the bike felt kinda instable and myself a bit uncomfortable.
But now listen to this: When we hit the exit I shifted down and I counted
like I always do, but hell I counted ONLY 4 gears before I came to a stop. S**t, I went
all that way in 4th gear and forgot to shift into 5th. But nothing happened, the
bike ran well and still does, even better now than before. But this shows me again that we
should have something like a rpm meter on the bike. And that the gear ratio of the 4th doesn't
obviously differ too much from the fifth. Otherwise I probably would have had that piston fly
through my tank.
Just thought I'd let you know,
Alfred
